About Me
Mingo Martin is a part-time staff writer for On3's Gamecock Central. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications in May 2025.
Martin is a recipient of two 2024 SCPA Collegiate awards, a first place award for photograph and a second place awad for sports story.
Martin grew up in Columbia, SC, and has spent his entire life in the city, including through college.
Through his journey as a journalist, he as found a passion for photography alongside his writing. Both are featured on this site
